Happy Valentine's Day! Today Mike and I celebrated our fourth Valentine's together. We celebrated our love and also the love of our family as we took a part in the dedication of our neice, Violet. Today was a day to reflect on our love and the love of those around us!
In my reflection today, I realized all the types of love I and all of us have to be thankful for! There is the marital love I share with Mike, love from my family, love from my close friends, and most of all the love that comes from our Lord!
All of these loves not only need to be celebrated today and on special occasions, but everyday! All of us are loved by someone and that is something to be truly appreciative of. Being loved is the greatest blessing we have bestowed upon us! The everlasting love that God gives us is always there to sustain us.
So if you felt all alone and unloved today or anyday, remember God is always there, and don't forget to take the time to remember all of those around you that give you some form of love! God Bless, may you be thankful for love always!

Each day is a journey of the heart and mind. Will we make the right choices or the wrong ones? Will we choose to put others before ourselves? We live in a world that is not perfect. We can choose to complain and have a mindset that life is all about ourselves or we can strive to always look at our situation with other people involved. How our life affects them? Whether we are causing people to stumble or do better. The things we say and do affect others whether we like it or not! The first step to looking outside of ourselves, I believe, is to be grateful. I am learning to be grateful all the time. Over the last year I have learned that I must start by being grateful for even the least of things. Like this plant. It is dead, but it has a purpose and even in its death can be used for beauty, a peice of art. Start to adapt your attitude of graditude by finding something small to be grateful for.
